wrapped up . . .

. . . in love.

but God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
romans 5:8

that's what I'm feeling right now. wrapped up in God's love.

God loves me. unconditionally. and sent His only Son to this earth. for me.

sometimes it is better to just dwell on the simplicity of God, and not try to figure Him out, or wonder if He's there. i know He's there. and that He loves me. because the Bible says He does. and if i'm not trying to reason it all out, i believe it with all my heart.

assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted
and become as little children,
you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
matthew 18:3

like i said. wrapped in God's love.

for i am persuaded that neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers,
not things present not things to come,
nor height nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
romans 8:38-39

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12,13

The sad thing is that it is not possible for us to do so without some kind of thought of personal gain. No matter how hard we try, we can never say that we truly love someone enough to lay down our lives for them, because we know we won't.

those are some pretty sweet texts.
i know what you mean. if you think about it a lot...why would he love US? it doesn't make any sense...and im pretty sure it never will. its kind of scary but incredibly awesome at the same time.
